Freedomland U.S.A. (usually just called Freedomland) was a short-lived, U.S. history-themed amusement park in the Baychester area in the northeastern part of the Borough of The Bronx, New York City. Its slogan was "The World's Largest Entertainment Center" (later, "The World's Largest Outdoor Family Entertainment Center").
It was an attempt to have East Coast competitor to the newly-opened Disneyland in California.
As part of the publicity push at its opening, Freedomland had an album!
Listening to this album will give you a funny feeling. If your grandparents dressed like 13-year-olds, and you went to the mall with them, then you would feel the same way. It's not that you don't love your grandparents (or America, which is celebrated in this album) -- it's just that you cringe at the presentation.
This project is such a cheesy, overdone, artificial presentation of some aspects of America, that itis almost creepy. Kind of like the overproduced version of a folksong, to the extent that any possibility of spontaneity is removed, there also the worthiness and value is gone.
So, listen, and cringe, to Freedomland USA!

An interesting piece of Artificial Americana.
Any chance you can repost this one, as I would love to give it a listen, and possibly cringe ;-)
