I Don't Get the Big Deal

For some folks, I think this guy is a thrill. I don't understand why.

I do not see the big deal.  It’s well played but why on Earth we need to hear two or three versions of the same song ... yawn.

Maybe you'll be thrilled!  In any case, see you Monday.

I Only Listen for the Pictures

You might say the same. It's a 1978 album by Giorgio Moroder.  One guy says he thinks the space babe was modeled after Lynda Carter.  What do you think?

01. Theme from Battlestar Galactica (2:39)
02. Destruction of Peace (2:41)
03. Transmitter - Part I (1:28)
04. Adama’s Theme (1:25)
05. It’s Love, Love, Love (3:56)
06. Transmitter - Part II (0:55)
07. Exploration (2:34)
08. Theme from Battlestar Galactica (0:42)
09. Evolution (15:18)

The first eight tracks were arranged as a kind of disco suite, running into each other.  Track 9 is the equivalent of Side Two, and it ain't based on Stu Phillip's great BG music.  It's "just" a disco rumination by Moroder ... I suspect to fill in the aforementioned Side Two.

But I bet you can forgive him after taking another gander at our Space Babe.

See you Thursday with something perhaps more down-to-Earth!

In Russia, Music Hears YOU!

Maybe not, but that's the best smart-off comment I could come up with.
It's a 1988 CD, but only a teeny-weeny bit of some o' that great music from some Russkis who probably WOULDN'T want to invade a sovereign neighbor.

01. Tchaikovsky - 1812 Overture (14:31)
02. Tchaikovsky - Waltz from "Sleeping Beauty" (4:36)
03. Khatchaturian - Sabre Dance from "Gayaneh" (2:52)

07. Rimsky-Korsakov - Flight of the Bumble Bee (1:37)

Great Russian Music

Take a trip to somebody's Old Country.  Not the same as the New Country.

See you on Monday!

Go Ahead, I Dare Ya!

It's a 1978 cassette produced by Warner Bros' "France" division, whatever that means!

The correct track list is:

01. Sound from Krypto (0:56)
02. Theme from Superman (5:07)
03. Action Speaks Louder than Word (3:44)
04. You're a Wonder (3:21)
05. Gotham City (2:20)
06. Movin' Me On (3:39)
07. We Must Believe in Superman (1:43)
08. Wonder Woman (3:03)
09. So Long Ago So Clear (4:07)
10. Superfriends (2:47)
11. Justice League (3:02)
12. Superfly (5:29)
13. Shazam the Magic Word (2:35)

I mention this because the seventh track (last on side 1) didn't mention Shazam, despite the cassette label -- and the vocals in this track say ... YOU figure it out!

If you listen all the way through this, you deserve a pat on the back.  To me the male vocal sounds like Robin Williams doing a schtick.  Who knows ... maybe it was!

See you Thursday.
