I was intrigued to observe that plenty of these selections do not sound like stereotypical “Jewish” music, all minor keys or dreary cadences. Some of these sound like snake-charmer dances, others like sailors’ hornpipes, or …. ?
Although I would have liked ’em a lot better without the wolf whistles and catcalls!
