This is New Agey, almost vapid background music. In some tracks, I wonder what an imitation-Irish pennywhistle sound has to do with Oklahoma? On second thought, to call it “elevator music” is too much. I’d call this “wallpaper music,” or maybe “Sominex for the ears.” It is competently performed, but somehow is hollow through and through.
That might have been considered a plus, since judging by the labeling this was a handout from an OKC bank. Heaven forbid that their valued customers hear music that’s inspiring or challenging! Somebody might become offended!
