Seven Stars in a Stupid Sky

As befits a "sampler," the musical selections from this cassette have been edited down from their full versions.

Selections from:
01 - Williams - The Empire Strikes Back
02 - Bach - Toccata & Fugue
03 - Beethoven - 5th Symphony
04 - Vivaldi - The Four Seasons
05 - Ravel - Bolero
06 - Joplin - Paragon Rag
07 - Rimsky-Korsakov - Scheherazade
08 - Saint-Saëns - 3rd Symphony
09 - Murphy - A 5th of Beethoven
10 - Montoya - Flamenco Guitar
11 - Gigout - Grand Choeur Dialogue
12 - Newman Plays Bach - Italian Concerto
13 - Sousa - Washington Post March
14 - Mormon Tabernacle Choir - Ave Maria
15 - Korngold - King’s Row
16 - Poulenc - Organ Concerto

After downloading, compare the cassette insert and the tape itself.  The titles don't match, and one is downright incorrect!  After hearing and editing this opus, I am forced to make the following comment regarding the now-defunct Sine Qua Non record label:

Why are they out of business?  They are so incompetent that they cannot label the performers or tracks accurately.  Who’s going to buy the “sampled” works if the record label doesn’t even tell the consumer who the performer is?  And Track 14 is an excerpt of “Ave Maria,” not “Do You Hear What I Hear?”!  What a bunch of ma-roons!

Now you may listen for yourself.

See you on Monday, meine Freunde!
