Takes a Lot of Creepers to Give You the Jeepers!

Herewith we have three soundtracks. Evidently one is pretty rare.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: The Soundtrack:

1.   Main Theme from Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (02:52)

2.   The Mindmaker Song (02:00)

3.   Tomato Stomp (01:46)

4.   Puberty Love (00:46)

5.   Love Theme (01:13)

6.   End Theme (00:51)

This disc was enclosed as a freebie with a DVD version of the film bought probably in the nineties.  Sadly, these tracks are dubs from the film.  They are not the music tracks which were manipulated for the film.  So, sadly, the classic "Puberty Love" is heard as a snippet only.

But smile!  What other movie's theme contains this unforgettable phrase?  "I know I'm going to miss her! A tomato ate my sister!"

Young Frankenstein Score:

1-36:  Film Soundtrack Score

37:  Young Frankenstein Main Title (Album Version)

38:  Puttin' on the Ritz ((Album Version)

39:  Theme from “Young Frankenstein” - Rhythm Heritage

(1975)

40:  Theme from “Young Frankenstein” - The Madeira

(2010)

I encountered most of the above release, Tracks 1-36, around 2010 as a bootleg.  I added Tracks 37 and 38 from the anthology album Mel Brooks' Greatest Hits, Featuring the Fabulous Film Score of John Morris.  Tracks 39 and 40 are chicken fat, included just for you!

Personally, I wish the Moundshroud character had been voiced by a less-recognizable actor.  And the animation is so-so.  But Ray Bradbury's evocation of childhood friendship, blended with a selected tour of Halloween History, makes this a lot of fun.  And Debney's score is the poison on the cake!

See you Friday, Friends and Fiends!
