Our beloved Spock (1978-1991) is featured in the header photo, in a photo from 1979. These are some of my LPs, themed compilations, and the like. That Exotic Land ...

This here's a bunch of music by Ralph Vaughan Williams that I bunched together.

01 - The Lark Ascending
02 - English Folk Song Suite I March, Seventeen Come Sunday
03 - English Folk Song Suite II Intermezzo, My Bonny Boy
04 - English Folk Song Suite III March, Folk Songs from Somerset
05 - Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, for 2 string orchestras
06 - Fantasia on Greensleeves
07 - In the Fen Country
08 - Norfolk Rhapsody No. 1
09 - Rhosymedre

PS I was amused to discover several years ago that the correct pronunciation of the composer's first name is "Rafe."

My experience of Vaughan Williams' music is of a great intellect that hasn't forgotten his sense of humor.

See you on Monday.
