About This Blog!

Our beloved Spock (1978-1991) is featured in the header photo, in a photo from 1979. These are some of my LPs, themed compilations, and the like. PLEASE NOTE that since my previous host FileFactory has made itself useless, I am slowly but surely updating to DRIME. Please be patient, and email me with comments or questions to msuperfan1956@gmail.com – note that comments sent through Blogger DO NOT allow a personal response.

At Least Some of the Songs

We open this year's JULY SPOCK-EBRATION with a 1960 album by Salli Terri.
In consonance with its era, the selections are a little over-produced to my taste.

A more dismaying characteristic is the lyric of "My Old Kentucky Home," which narrates that "the darkies are gay."  Let's keep working to be more honored and honorable to all.
Despite our failures past and present, the American dream of cohesion, aspiration, and achievement should always be open to all.  You and I can help make it so within the bounds of our influence.

01. Bound for the Promised Land (3:11)
02. 'Cross the Wide Missouri (Shenandoah) (2:38)
03. On Springfield Mountain (3:30)
04. El-A-Noy (1:39)
05. My Old Kentucky Home (3:50)
06. Sacramento (1:41)
07. Colorado Trail (1:40)
08. Erie Canal (1:48)
