About This Blog!

Our beloved Spock (1978-1991) is featured in the header photo, in a photo from 1979. These are some of my LPs, themed compilations, and the like. PLEASE NOTE that since my previous host FileFactory has made itself useless, I am slowly but surely updating to DRIME. Please be patient, and email me with comments or questions to msuperfan1956@gmail.com – note that comments sent through Blogger DO NOT allow a personal response.

Hell Is Other People with Penny Whistles

It's a 2001 cassette.

01. What a Friend We Have in Jesus (3:51)
02. Blessed Assurance (2:28)
03. Amazing Grace (3:50)
04. O Come and Sing Unto the Lord (3:26)
05. I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say (2:44)
06. O God, Thou Art the Father (5:04)
07. Morning Has Broken (3:03)
08. Be Thou My Vision (3:35)
09. Let All Things Now Living (2:47)
10. Take Me as I Am (3:04)
11. Come Thou Fount (4:09)
12. Let Us Break Bread Together (3:10)
13. Sweet Hour of Prayer (2:43)

What you think are record skips are actually knee-slapping or some such percussive technique.  Very competent but the penny whistle makes anything annoying!  Especially when it slurs or slides from note to note.

Of course these aren’t necessarily “Irish” Hymns, just done in an “Irish” style.

Go on, try to be Irish, I dare ya!  Until the shams rock and the lepers con, check back on Monday.
