IMO it’s trying too hard to beat the Ultra-Lounge series’ packaging at its own game. The “insert” is a sheet of semi-card stock about two inches square, evidently intended to entice consumers to buy all the volumes so as to have the complete saga of Doris and Rex. This is way too cynical and dismissive of the craftsmanship (dare we say “art”?) in the originals, and makes fun of the historical period.
But the music ain’t bad.
See you on Monday!
