Very Smooth Ragtime

As any population ages, there's always a market for the raw music or media of their youth.  It often happens that, although the once-rebellious youth have grown up to own things (like the intellectual properties being marketed), the music or what-have-you in question becomes a bit ... shall we say ... tamed.

Thus you might have AC/DC playing on an oldies station, the way scandalous 1960s songs have been pablum-ized into instrumental background music at your local Braum's.
Here's a concrete aural example.  Ragtime was, originally, well -- ragged.

01. Ain't Misbehavin' (2:45)
02. I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire (2:42)
03. Who's Sorry Now (2:50)
04. All of Me (3:04)
05. After You've Gone (2:13)
06. Maple Leaf Rag (1:59)
07. You Made Me Love You (3:38)
08. St. Louis Blues / Birth of the Blues (4:39)
09. Harbor Lights (2:49)
10. My Blue Heaven (2:14)
11. For Me and My Gal (3:19)
12. Three O'Clock in the Morning (2:39)
13. Danny Boy / My Wild Irish Rose / When Irish Eyes Are Smiling (5:22)
14. Dinah (2:03)
15. Alexander's Ragtime Band (2:38)
16. Entertainer Rag (2:43)
17. Always (I'll Be Loving You) (2:54)
18. Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter (2:21)
19. It Had to Be You (2:42)

This stuff is so relentlessly cheerful it's manic!  -- or maybe maniacal?

You tell me!  See you Monday.
