The Acetate or the Acid Test?

The story goes that engineer/producer Glyn Johns was recruited by someone at Apple to find a releasable album in the "Get Back" sessions.  He came up with a version which was sent as an acetate for approval.  Here's one version of the story.

01. Get Back (2:50)
02. The Walk (0:59)
03. Let It Be (4:05)
04. Teddy Boy (5:54)
05. Two of Us (3:57)
06. Don't Let Me Down (3:54)
07. I've Got a Feeling (3:01)
08. The Long and Winding Road (3:47)
09. For You Blue (3:06)
10. Dig A Pony (4:04)
11. Get Back Reprise (2:57

It's not as polished as the Spector version, and much rougher, of course, than the McCartney version called Let It Be Naked.  But interesting nonetheless.

We won't even get into the whole "get back to where you once belong" phrase as referring to Pakastani immigrants.

See you on Monday!
