I only saw the movie once (on HBO or some such), but the music I have listened to again and again!
And even though (very slim) Tim Curry DOES have a prominent role in the film, I am "glad all over" that the soundtrack for the movie has ONLY the songs, and does not replicate the format of the American Graffiti soundtrack album, which had Wolfman Jack doing bridging deejay talk.
I was never as wild and free as the life that these songs depict. But each of us has his own version of dumb and young!

ReplyDeleteThere was a piece of graffiti on an I-40 overpass several years ago ... "Life's short - trip hard."
ReplyDeleteI think this is one of those soundtracks that made more than the film. Sort of like "Car Wash." Thank you for the post.
ReplyDeleteHaven't we all felt like saying "I Wanna Be Sedated" at least a couple of times in life? Me too ...
