About This Blog!

Our beloved Spock (1978-1991) is featured in the header photo, in a photo from 1979. These are some of my LPs, themed compilations, and the like. PLEASE NOTE that since my previous host FileFactory has made itself useless, I am slowly but surely updating to DRIME. Please be patient, and email me with comments or questions to msuperfan1956@gmail.com – note that comments sent through Blogger DO NOT allow a personal response.

Nothing But Sitar Wars

Supposedly this cassette was released in 1977.  Dubbed fresh for you, less than twelve hours ago!

01. One by Three (2:43)

02. People (3:42)

03. Free for All (4:19)

04. Good Evening (3:15)

05. Tantalisation (3:29)

06. Hi Tides (4:36)

07. How Can I Be Happy (3:19)

08. Persuasion (3:41)

09. Yesterday Gone (4:31)

10. Sometimes in Morning (4:06)

11. Velvet Touch (4:19)

12. Beautiful Day Today (4:23)

13. I'll Come Along (4:09)

14. In Your Arms (3:29)

15. Festival (3:41)

Some of the percussion sounds exactly like a rhythm setting on a 1970s Hammond organ or something.  But I bet it's all real, live acoustics.

Another bemusing facet is that some of the selections feature Lionel-Hampton-like vibes!

Can you dig it, sirs?

See you on Monday!
