The sound on some tracks seems tinny or trebly.  Perhaps Miller used different instruments, therefore different sounds?

Adam Miller - Bare Fingers

For me, this sound gets over-familiar very fast.  The 60 minutes of listening time took about three subjective hours.  Perhaps it’ll seem like ten minutes to you?

See you Thursday!

Well, this concludes our month of fun of BLOG-O-WEEN on the Super Blog and SPOOKY SPOCK-TOBER on the Record Round-Up.

Seems I forgot the link.  Sorry about the trick!  https://www.filefactory.com/file/2ca3iimw7lde/MA-80_-%202023.rar

See you on Thursday for our regularly scheduled silliness!

I don't know where I came across this fun music comp. Thanks to "Vance Fink," whoever you are, for starting my down my own twisted path of music comps!

See ya on Halloween!

Disappointingly, No Little People Seem to Be Involved

This release uses supposed kid voices, but they’re plainly breathy adult imitations, like Ish Kabibble in Spike Jones’s band.  It wasn’t clever then, nor now.  Another disgusting feature is three hundred eighty-seven uses of sound fx from The Flintstones.  (I may have undercounted.)

01. Monster Mash (3:25)

02. The Purple People-Eater (3:05)

03. Dem Bones (3:30)

04. The Ghosts Go Floating (4:43)

05. The Other Day I Met a Ghoul (3:18)

06. There's a Hole in the Cauldron (2:51)

07. Five Green Goblins (2:09)

08. Mary Had a Little Spider (3:07)

09. The Monsters in Your Neighborhood (2:28)

10. Down by the Bay (3:20)

11. Five Black and Hairy Bats (3:04)

12. People Are Strange (3:58)

13. Boris the Spider (2:34)

14. R-I-N-G-O (2:41)

15. Lollipop/I Want Candy Medley (3:16)

16. Ghostbusters (3:15)

17. Monster's Holiday (3:11)

This is what happens when grown-ups try to entertain kids.  Clueless grown-ups, that is.  How many of you remember being a kid and a gushy grown-up tried to be all cutesy to you?  Annoying, huh?  Instead of simpering like a moron, just TALK to the kid.

If the performances were done “straight,” the kids would have loved it, and the listening parents or other adults wouldn’t be gagging.

On the other hand, who’d’ve expected to hear a Count Floyd imitator singing the Doors’ “People Are Strange.”  Much less singing about squashing “Boris the Spider”?

Halloween Sing-Along

See you Monday for some more witchy stuff, but more fun and less cloying.

The Horror Network!

It's punk! It's rock! It's Halloween!

And be warned some of the language is pretty rough, as behooves a certain nihilistic bent which often aligns with Halloween-type horror.

Bands of The World Horror Network

See you Thursday, fellow chill hounds!

According to the liner,

"Sounds of the Night" is full of heart pounding sounds guaranteed to scare the socks off of any trick or treater. Great to play outside your house to add to your scary décor or just to play at your next Halloween bash. If you want the scariest sounds, then pop this terrifying album in and prepare for us to keep you at the edge of your seat!

01. Graveyard Muck (6:00)

02. Scream and Rain (5:54)

03. Scream (5:59)

04. Monster Groans and Child Crying (5:46)

05. Evil Laugh and Wind (6:14)

09. Bird and Moaning (5:51)

10. Monster Growling (5:55)

11. Thunder (5:49)

12. Lots of Growls (6:21)

I can tell you that, as fx records go, this one is pretty intense.  It's a 2007 release.

Digiview Productions - Sounds Of The Night

What's that?  You want to know about the title of this post?  Look at the production company's name.  If you got a poke in the eye, wouldn't you have a "digi-view"?
